Yes, both state laws and national fire codes require annual testing, inspection, and certification of all fire alarm systems by qualified personnel. Every device—smoke detectors, heat detectors, pull stations, and more—must be physically tested to ensure they are functioning correctly.

SAFE Inc. recommends quarterly inspections for optimal safety and performance. Regular maintenance and testing ensure your system operates effectively during an emergency and stays compliant with NFPA standards.

SAFE Inc. offers 24/7 monitoring for fire alarms, sprinkler systems, security & intrusion systems, access control systems, and video surveillance. Monitoring can be set up through landlines, cellular networks, or IP-based solutions, ensuring your facility remains protected at all times.

Security & Surveillance

Older cameras used to record to a VHS tape.  Not any more!  Modern security cameras are connected to your network with ethernet cable and can send their video over the internet to mobile apps and recording servers.

NVR stand for Network Video Recorder.  Modern systems send all their video over the network to be recorded on a video server or network recorder

Probably….Maybe…If they’re IP cameras and an appropriate system is selected, most cameras support video streaming standards that would work with most systems.  Call us for an evaluation.

Network Security

Today’s threat landscape is broad and ever-changing.  Malware, ransomware, phishing and data theft are a constant issue in every network.  Securing your data and network properly helps to prevent and mitigate downtime, revenue loss and IT expenses from recovery

There’s no single answer to this.  The best protection is a multi-faceted approach.  Implementing next generation firewalls, MDR, antivirus, MFA, and a proper backup and recovery plan mitigate the risks.

There are three basic principles to network security.  Prevention:  firewalls, intrusion detection systems and proper policies prevent unauthorized access.  Detection:  You can’t stop what you can’t see.  Recovery: every business needs a comprehensive BDR (backup and disaster recovery) plan.

Backup & Disaster Recovery

There are a myriad of reasons.  Preventing data loss in case of malware, hardware failure, accidental deletion are just a start.  How much downtime could your company withstand?  A good business continuity plan is necessary to allow disaster recovery to be as fast and painless as possible.

It varies somewhat depending on your needs, but most systems have an onsite component to store the backups locally, and an offsite component in case of major incidents.  SAFE can back up your servers and Microsoft 365 environments.

Short answer: As often as possible.  It also depends on how much data you have, and how long you’d like to retain that data.

24/7 Monitoring

SAFE can monitor all of your devices and servers to ensure they’re up and running when you need them.  If one of your servers is offline, we’ll know about it and take appropriate steps to get it back in service.  Is your hard drive getting full?  Does your laptop need more RAM?  These are all things that can be monitored for useful reports in order to prevent future issues.

Any mission critical servers and devices can be monitored to generate alerts if they have issues.

Network Design

A proper network is designed to be fast, secure and reliable.  Segregating your network into different functions ensures your devices and data are accessible and secure.

This will vary on the type and number of systems you have in place.  Firewalls, switches and wireless access points along with proper cabling or fiber connections make up the backbone of your network.  Programming all of these correctly can increase network speeds and security of your data.

Possibly.  A re-design can segregate network traffic, optimize certain systems and give you better options for logging traffic and visibility into what is going on.
